Problem: Charlatans, Hacks, Parts Changing Monkeys and Fly-By-Night repair companies
The most common problem in the appliance repair trade are "technicians" who don't know how to properly diagnose an issue with the newer appliances of today. These technicians cannot confidently say that their repair will fix your problem and when it doesn't, they make you pay for that repair in addition to their next "guess". These "parts changing monkeys" (PCMs) are ripping people off, either knowingly or through willful ignorance, and are a detriment to the appliance repair trade as well as those technicians who know how to properly troubleshoot and take pride in their work.
Very few of these PCMs will take ownership of their mistake and make it right with you, the customer.
Brethren of the craft Samurai Appliance Repair Man has a brilliant article that goes into more depth on this issue and we highly recommend you check it out: Click to learn more on how choosing the wrong repair company can affect you and how to identify a charlatan, hack, or PCM.
